A stack is a group of players whose performances tend to rise and fall together. The classic example is a quarterback with a receiver on the same team: when the quarterback throws a touchdown, the receiver often catches it, so both score at once. In baseball, stacking several batters from one lineup captures a big inning.
Why it matters
Correlation is upside. A stacked lineup can post a much higher ceiling than the same players spread across unrelated games, because good outcomes stack on top of each other. It is one of the most reliable ways to build the kind of high-ceiling lineup that wins tournaments.
Where you see it in DFS Hero
Stacking is a core build setting. DFS Hero applies the right stack rules for each sport, so you can group correlated players without wiring the logic yourself. Set your stack when you build, and the optimizer constructs your lineups around it.
