Geomean (Geometric Mean)

Last updated Jul 14, 2026

Geomean is the geometric mean of a lineup's outcomes across the simulation. Unlike a simple average, the geometric mean is dragged down harder by bad results, so it rewards lineups that score well steadily rather than ones that swing between huge and terrible.

Why it matters

Two lineups can share the same average score while behaving completely differently: one grinds out solid results every time, the other alternates ceilings and zeros. Geomean separates them. A higher geomean points to a more reliable lineup, which is often what you want for cash games and steadier portfolios.

Where you see it in DFS Hero

Geomean is one of the metrics on every lineup after a Build and Simulate run, and you can sort your Lineups panel by it to bring your most consistent builds to the top.
