The contest simulator is a Monte Carlo engine that plays out your lineups thousands of times against a realistic field of opponents and the contest's real payout structure. Instead of asking which lineup scores the most points, it asks which lineup wins the most money.
What a simulation does
Each run samples a range of outcomes. In every simulated world, each player's score is drawn from a distribution, then every lineup is scored and ranked against the field. Aggregate that over thousands of iterations, from roughly 2,000 up to 10,000 depending on how large your pool is, and you get stable probabilities rather than a single guess.
The field
Your lineups do not compete in a vacuum. The simulator builds a realistic field of opponent lineups to compete against, modeled on how entrants actually play, using live ownership and real stack shapes. Real tournament fields are only around 91 to 92 percent unique, with popular lineups showing up more than once, and the simulated field reproduces that.
Real payouts
The sim scores against the contest's actual payout shape. A top-heavy tournament rewards finishing near the top, while a cash game pays every entry that finishes in the paid half. That is why the same lineup can look great for one contest and mediocre for another.
The result is a set of contest-aware metrics on every lineup, like rank, win rate, and ROI, so you can pick the right lineups for the contest you are entering.
